I've shot archery for years, but this was my first time shooting the crossbow. First off, pulling the string back is a whopping 150 pounds. Yup, you guessed it...I left it for Brian and Dad. I have no desire to wreck my back pulling that back.
One of the joys of country life is the opportunity to shoot dif. weapons. Lovely.
It looks like Dad and I might get to go boar hunting in a couple weeks and that has me pretty excited. I've had this dream of bacon for years! We won't be shooting the cross bow; we will each use our regular bows. I practiced yesterday and if I shoot like I did yesterday we won't be eating any bacon due to my mad shooting skills!
