Team Ali
This poll was scheduled for next Monday, but since I won't be here next Monday, I sorta thought I'd go ahead and post it today. Who doesn't enjoy a good poll?
Y'alls reactions were tres interesting! I watch the Bachelorette. I do. It's full of drama and all things ridiculous. In fact, I watched a show titled something like, "The Truth Behind the Rose" which was awesome. It explained how the producer chooses HALF of the guys for drama. They (a team of people that get to hang out and watch crazy bios) choose the other half of guys based on the Bachelor/Bachelorette's personality. I believe it...CUZ it was the producer making the claims. So is it real? Wellllllll, apparently for Trista and Ryan. OH and CLEARLY Jake. ;) This season is the most ridiculous yet. It's fun to laugh, and giggle, and make fun and sigh and groan and yah...It's a comedy, though I secretly hope that people end up happy.
On a lighter note, Gooner and I did spend some quality time with LeAnna and Q man. Q did a lot of drink and food taking...meanwhile Gooner did a lot of crying and trying to take back. It was awesome. Then they BOTH started crying, and LeAnna got a taste of the future. Poor Sprig is going to be playing on the floor and Q man is going to come and snatch everything away! Wah! Here is LeAnna helping Gooner down the slide. See Q man there? Yep, he's all geared up to "catch" her.
See how half the puppy is drenched? Yah, that is because Q man threw him in the pool.
I think Gooner liked the puppies!

The Bachelorette and Misc Monday
1. Poll deleted.
2.~ I had an AWESOME blogger meet up with LeAnna over at Thoughts and Whatnots. It was our second time hanging out and REALLY fabulous. (More on that tomorrow after we each load pics and stuff, but here is a little teaser of my leg being malled by the SUPER CUTE puppies!)

3.~I missed the Ghana v. USA game to hang out with her and I don't think she fully understands THE SACRIFICE that was for me.
4.~ Seeing LeAnna so cute and preggers reminded me that I'm not QUITE ready to add a sibling to our pack.
5.~ Speaking of pack. You have a pack of dog, but a "conspiracy" of ravens, although nowdays people normally call it a "flock."
6.~ Gooner enjoyed riding on the electric golf cart with Grandpa and her cousin M. She lives a WILD life y'alls!
7. Don't forget I'm moving to wordpress! I already like it! If you want the URL - email me at sportivacliff@yahoo.com *I will email Wednesday when I have the new one up and running and not in complete disarray! It will be in disarray but LESS since it IS different than blogspot)
And THANK YOU Carissa's for your Misc. Monday!

Blogger Meet Up and Wordpress
Adie came all the way from Colorado to visit me in Texas. Ha, just kidding. She was on vacation and managed to fit me into her busy schedule. Blogger meet ups make me nervous. You never know if you are going to meet a crazy lady or something; or if the conversation is going to be awkward and strange. This time, it wasn't. It was great. It was better than great, it was LOADS OF FUN. Like so much fun that after meeting up Friday, we met again on Sunday for shopping...without our children. It felt like we had been friends for a long time. Now I'm going to attach a photo of us. Judge NICELY. We had just been swimming in the 100+ degree weather. Adie had a brain freeze, TWO brain freezes at the store so she had to wear her tank top while swimming. I'll let her tell you those stories.
It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to her next visit to Texas in December!
I am working on a Wordpress blog since I can't stand blogger anymore. ANYWAY, to weed out the crazies who visit this blog, I am not going to post my new URL. Most of you are NOT crazies, but I've been blogging since 2006. This means, if you want to keep up with us, shoot me an email

I will send you an email next week letting you know the new address! The blog won't be private, but still...
I will make the switcharoo July 1!

Savings and Oatmeal Recipe
I use coupons. Avidly. I detest buying things full price and I'm all for brand loyalty, except these days I go for the brand that offers the best coupons. I do believe I have mentioned before that it is a "job" I take seriously. Anyway the other week, I spent HOURS pouring over coupons and ads and felt pretty silly about it. Q called from work to see how my day was...how was Gooner... and I told him what I had been up to, er HOURS of coupon fun. The next day off we went, with our budget, with our cash in an envelope, and headed to the supermarket.
Total bill for groceries: 75 dollars
So I handed her my coupons. I've learned to hand them to the cashiers ONE by ONE. This way if the coupon doesn't think you have purchased the proper item you are aware that you need to find your item or make a case for yourself.
Total with coupons: 35 dollars
Total Savings: 54 %
Um wow. I felt proud. I felt like a winner. Even Gooner likes the Oatmeal!
Fluffy Oatmeal via Kath
I like to make enough for both Q and I so:
1 Cup Steel Cut Oats (half a cup for each of us although Q eats some of mine)
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Coconut Milk (we are going off dairy, or MOST dairy)
1 Banana (cut into slices)
1 Teaspoon REAL vanilla
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
Organic Almond Butter
Berries to Top
1. Mix the top 4 ingredients. (I like to use a spoonula)
2. Once it is boiling I turn OFF the heat and stir in the vanilla and chia seeds.
3. I pour into our bowls and scoop out a small spoonful of organic almond butter
4. Top with berries
MAJOR yumm-o! The banana's are all fluffy and yummy and hot and tasty. Oh my goodness. Some days we add white chocolate for a bit of something special.
